Getting Started

The Feature Request System lets you submit ideas for new features, vote on requests from others, and discuss them via comments. Anyone can browse existing requests, but you need to log in to submit, vote, or comment.

To log in, click the Login button in the top-right corner. Authentication is handled through Hanko — you can sign in with your email using a secure passkey or magic link.

Browsing Features

The left sidebar lists all feature requests grouped by category. Click a category header to collapse or expand its group. Each item shows the title, a vote count badge, and a status dot (green = open, red = closed).

Use the Sort dropdown above the list to reorder by most/least votes or newest/oldest. Selecting a feature from the sidebar loads its full details in the main panel.

Submitting a Request

Click the + New Request button at the top of the sidebar (you must be logged in). A modal will appear where you can enter:

After submitting, your request appears in the sidebar and is open for voting and comments.

Voting

Each feature request has an Upvote button in its detail view. Click it to cast your vote. You can vote once per feature — the button will become disabled after you vote. Votes help prioritize which features are most wanted.

Comments

Below the vote section in a feature's detail view, you'll find the comments area. Anyone who is logged in can post a comment using the text field at the bottom. You can delete your own comments by clicking the Delete button next to them.

Editing Your Request

If you authored a feature request, you can edit its title, description, and category by clicking the Edit button in the detail view header. Supervisors can also edit any request.

Supervisor Actions

Supervisors have additional controls for managing the system:

Dark Mode

Click the theme toggle button in the header to switch between light and dark mode. Your preference is saved and applies across all pages.

Mobile Usage

On smaller screens, the sidebar is hidden by default. Tap the menu button (bottom-left) to open it. After selecting a feature, use the ← Back button to return to the list.
